The DJI Zenmuse S1 is the first spotlight purpose-built for DJI multi-payload drone platforms — compatible with the Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK, and Matrice 300 RTK. LEP technology delivers high output brightness across a long illumination range, with multiple configurable lighting modes that adapt the payload to public safety operations, emergency rescue, infrastructure inspection, and any task that demands reliable aerial lighting after dark.

Multiple Lighting Modes

Low Beam Mode

A 15° FOV out to 150 metres covers the illumination area of a camera operating at 5× zoom or higher keeping the lit zone matched to what the camera is actually seeing. For short-range search and inspection tasks, this mode handles the majority of operational scenarios.

High Beam Mode

LEP – Laser Excited Phosphor technology concentrates the output into a tight 4° FOV that reaches 300 metres with strong light penetration. When the operation requires illuminating a specific subject at distance emergency rescue, public safety surveillance, High Beam mode delivers the reach and intensity to make it work.

Both On Mode

Running both beams together increases central illuminance significantly while holding the wider 15° FOV of Low Beam mode. The combined output pushes usable observation distance out to 500 metres more coverage, more brightness, without narrowing the field.

Strobe Mode

High-frequency strobe output draws immediate visual attention from target individuals at range a direct and effective signalling tool for emergency rescue coordination and public safety operations where getting noticed quickly is the objective.

Brightness Meets Energy Efficiency

Maximum central illuminance reaches 40 lux at 100 metres enough to resolve subject details clearly in dark operating environments where standard camera-based night modes fall short. High Beam mode draws only 24W, which keeps the total power load on the aircraft low and preserves the flight time that would otherwise be shortened by a power-hungry lighting payload.

Intelligent Beam Alignment

Mounted alongside the Zenmuse H30 Series on the Matrice 400, the DJI Zenmuse S1 uses gimbal synchronisation and real-time software calibration to keep its optical centre aligned with the camera’s field of view continuously. Light deviation is eliminated automatically rather than requiring manual adjustment the illuminated area stays matched to the camera view as the gimbal moves.

Reliable and Intuitive

Payload Protection

Multiple protection layers covering temperature, overcurrent, and power management work continuously inside the DJI Zenmuse S1, extending operational reliability and service life across intensive deployment cycles.

Burn Protection

The plastic housing keeps external contact surface temperature at or below 50°C meaning the DJI Zenmuse S1 can be handled safely immediately after landing without risk of burns to ground crew.

Synchronized Control

Two DJI Zenmuse S1 units mounted together on the Matrice 400 operate in sync power, brightness, and mode changes apply to both spotlights from a single control input simultaneously.

Collaborative Ground and Air Operations

DJI FlightHub 2 gives ground teams live video access and direct spotlight control of the Zenmuse S1 remotely without relying on the pilot for adjustments.

Strong Environmental Adaptability

IP54 dust and water resistance keeps the DJI Zenmuse S1 functional across field conditions, operating reliably through ambient temperatures from -20°C to 40°C.

Flexible Mounting,
Lightweight Build

Any gimbal connector position on the Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK, or Matrice 300 RTK accepts the DJI Zenmuse S1 giving operators full flexibility over how the payload slots into a multi-sensor configuration. At 0.76 kg, it adds minimal weight to the aircraft and fits directly into the Matrice 400 carrying case without a separate storage solution.
