Overview

Photography from the air demands two things above everything else image quality that holds up under scrutiny, and a platform that doesn’t get in the way of the shot. The Air 3S addresses both. A 1-inch CMOS primary sensor and a 70mm medium tele camera each pull up to 14 stops of dynamic range, which means highlights and shadows retain detail in conditions where lesser sensors blow out or clip. The Free Panorama function opens up the framing range on both cameras, letting photographers work more freely without being locked into fixed panorama modes. Nighttime flying gets meaningful safety upgrades too obstacle detection that works in low light and a next-generation Smart RTH system that brings the aircraft home reliably even when visibility is poor.

Two cameras, two entirely different perspectives and both capable enough to carry a shot on their own terms. The primary camera pairs a full 1-inch CMOS sensor with a 24mm lens, giving wide-angle coverage with the resolution and tonal depth that large-format landscape and architectural photography requires. The second camera steps in at 70mm on a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, where the tighter focal length naturally compresses the background and isolates the subject the characteristic quality that makes medium tele focal lengths the first choice for portraits, vehicle shots, and any scene where you want one thing to stand out clearly from its surroundings.
