Mini 5 Pro integrates a 1-inch CMOS sensor, supporting 4K/60fps HDR video recording with up to 14 stops of dynamic range for cinematic visuals [3]. This large sensor, enhanced by the new image-processing technology and intelligent algorithms [4], preserves even minute details in low-light conditions such as sunsets and nightscapes, delivering shots that are simply, effortlessly breathtaking. With the 48mm Med-Tele mode, subjects stand out more prominently in the frame, while portrait optimization algorithms [5] capture every expression with remarkable clarity.

225° Gimbal Rotation for Dynamic Camera Movement

The 225° roll rotation range opens up camera movements that standard 3-axis stabilisation physically can’t execute barrel roll effects, horizon tilting, and Dutch angle progressions all become available. Combined with QuickShot Rotate, Timelapse, Spotlight, and Waypoint Flight modes, creative rotating footage that used to require complex manual planning completes automatically.

True Vertical Shooting for Instant Sharing

Skyscrapers, waterfalls, and city scenes all shoot natively in vertical format the footage fills the phone screen without cropping, letterboxing, or any post-production adjustment. Social media content comes out of the DJI Mini 5 Pro already formatted correctly, ready to post as captured.

Confident Flight With Nightscape Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing

Forward-facing LiDAR combined with multiple vision sensors gives the DJI Mini 5 Pro the obstacle detection coverage to fly safely after dark. City nightscapes where power lines, building edges, and structures are harder to see get the same active obstacle detection and avoidance that daytime flights have. Route memorisation adds an additional safety layer when adequate light is available, enabling safe return-to-home even in locations where satellite signal is blocked or unavailable.

Forward-facing LiDAR anchors the sensing system, with fisheye lenses covering front, rear, left, right, and upward directions. Binocular lenses and a 3D infrared sensor on the underside complete the coverage, giving the DJI Mini 5 Pro genuine omnidirectional obstacle detection without blind spots in any flight direction.

Dual-Band GNSS

L1 and L5 dual-band GNSS on the DJI Mini 5 Pro accesses more satellites simultaneously, strengthening signal stability and positioning accuracy in environments where single-band GNSS would be less reliable.

Real-time vision positioning and continuous map construction during flight let the DJI Mini 5 Pro memorise its outbound route when ambient light is sufficient. At any point during the mission, it can trace that memorised path back to the launch point safely including from balconies and indoor-adjacent locations where satellite signal doesn’t reach.
