DJI Mavic 2 Pro with Smart Controller
See the Bigger Picture with DJI Mavic 2 Pro with Smart Controller
Our dream has always been to create a drone that exists where engineering, technology and the needs of the aerial photographer converge. A drone that contains all the advanced technologies of DJI and is able to redefine what is possible for the world of aerial photography.
In creating the Mavic 2, we realized this dream and the DJI Mavic 2 Pro with Smart Controller makes it even more magical.
Mavic 2 Pro with Hasselblad Camera
Made in Sweden, Hasselblad cameras are renowned for their iconic ergonomic design, uncompromising image quality and Swedish craftsmanship. Since 1941, Hasselblad cameras have captured some of the world’s most iconic images – including the first moon landing.
Co-engineered in collaboration with Hasselblad after two years of tireless research, the Mavic 2 Pro is equipped with the brand new Hasselblad L1D-20c camera. The L1D-20c has Hasselblad’s exclusive Hasselblad Natural Color Solution (HNCS) technology, which helps users capture stunning 20-megapixel aerial shots with stunning color details.
1 INCH CMOS
The all-new 1-inch CMOS sensor has an active detection area four times more effective than the original Mavic Pro. The large sensor also means better performance in low-light environments with a wider ISO range, maximum ISO increased from 3200 to 12800.
The 3-axis Gimbal of the Mavic 2 allows for stable and fluid shooting in virtually any situation
Dlog-M at 10 bit Color Profile
DJI Mavic 2 Pro supports a 10-bit Dlog-M color profile that offers a higher dynamic range for greater flexibility in post production. The system records over 1 billion colors (compared to the 16 million colors of traditional 8-bit color coding technologies) and preserves more in-depth details both in the highlights and in the shadows. Now you can capture the subtlest nuances at sunset or sunrise, leaving more space for post-production.
With 10-bit 4K HDR support, the Mavic 2 Pro can be connected to a 4K TV with HLG and will instantly play back movies with the correct color tones. Brighter lights and increased contrast are what make HDR videos so attractive.
The f/2.8-f/11 adjustable aperture offers exceptional image quality in both high-light and low-light environments. When shooting in low light conditions, set the aperture to f/2.8 to allow more light and take bright, clear photos. When shooting in well-lit environments, set the aperture to f/11 to reduce the shutter speed and make videos smoother.
“I am incredibly impressed by the Mavic 2 Pro images. Hasselblad seems to produce the same incredible quality wherever they apply their magic, whether they are medium-format cameras or incredibly attached to the agile wings of a Mavic.” – Benjamin Everett
Benjamin Everett is an itinerant artist passionate about the relationship between our literal and figurative experiences with the scenario. He is the winner of the Hasselblad Masters award in 2018 for landscapes.
Say goodbye to complicated post-processing. With Hyperlapse, the drone takes up stable aerial shots and processes them automatically, allowing you to create professional-looking timelaps with just a touch of a button, which you can instantly share with social media. Save a flight path in the Task Library to fly the Mavic 2 through the same route whenever you feel like it. JPEG and RAW photos can be saved simultaneously on a microSD card, leaving more space for post-editing.
Improved HDR photos
Mavic 2 also supports improved HDR photos, an improved technique that combines a sequence of photos for a dynamic range, offering greater image clarity while avoiding unwanted artificial effects.
Brighten up your world with HyperLight, a low light setting designed to improve your images while significantly reducing noise.
H.265 codec for higher image quality
Both editions record 4K video at higher bitrates with advanced H.265 compression. Videos in the H.265/HEVC codec keep 50% more information than videos in H.264/AVC, creating high quality videos with better preserved details.
With both hardware and software improvements, ActiveTrack 2.0 takes your tracking experience to a whole new level.
Previously, ActiveTrack relied primarily on 2D images from the main camera to track a subject. Now with ActiveTrack 2.0, the Mavic 2 maps a three-dimensional view of the surrounding environment through the main camera and the two double vision front sensors for greater recognition and accuracy.
The trajectory prediction algorithms help to maintain tracking when the subject is temporarily blocked by an obstacle.
High speed tracking
In open and unobstructed environments, the Mavic 2 is able to track fast-moving subjects such as cars and boats at speeds up to 72 km/h.
Detection of obstacles
When tracking a target, the Mavic 2 can plan a flight path on its 3D map. It will detect, recognize and avoid obstacles in front of and behind the drone, all while you recover from your goal without interruption.
The Mavic 2 supports four panorama modes, including Sphere, 180°, Horizontal and Vertical.
Simplified aerial photography
Various intuitive shooting modes are available for more creative shooting options.
